Current exhibition

Light Bodies is a body of watercolour and acrylic ink works exploring recovery, embodiment and the quiet intelligence of the body.

Moving between mountain, river, horse, flower and inner landscape, the works reflect on the subtle forces that shape us — breath, gravity, tenderness, fatigue, resilience and return.

Created through soft washes, gestural marks and reclaimed jarrah, the exhibition invites a slower way of seeing: one that does not rush healing, but attends to the body as a living landscape of memory, sensation and repair.
Informed by my work as a medical doctor, acupuncturist, Qigong and meditation teacher, writer and artist, Light Bodies sits at the meeting place of medicine, nature, creative practice and embodied care.

The exhibition forms part of a larger unfolding project, Bedside Light, a companion field guide of art, writing and spoken-word reflection for people in recovery.

    Feedback welcome

No need for anything polished. Simple, honest words would be more than enough thankyou.
If you’re happy for me to use your reflection publicly — for grant applications, my website, social media, or future project materials — please also let me know whether you’d prefer me to include your first name, full name, or keep it anonymous. You’re also welcome to add a short descriptor, if you’d like — such as artist, health professional, educator, writer, collector, or community member — but this is completely optional.

Your paintings are beautiful Su Lin and an invitation here to quiet stillness and unfurling. That you created such beauty in extremely challenging times amazes and inspires. ⎼ Shana, exhibition visitor
